There is much excitement building up in chez Glen, because tomorrow should hopefully hear the pitta patter of eight tiny little feet.
Yes, we are expecting a new addition to the family.

Two little additions actually. Domino and Jenga are set to arrive with us this Friday. I’d point to my boys and mock their bouncy excitement over this, but I know that I’m worse than they are.
We headed off to the pet shop on Saturday and I was absolutely shocked at how much we needed. When the lady at the till smiled and asked if “we are expecting a new arrival” in the exact way that women do in normal shops when you are buying maternity and baby equipment, I felt that she had hit the nail on the head.
That’s exactly what it feels like.
It is a complete mixture of excitement and nervousness about how things will go; desperately hoping that the cats will settle in okay and not crap all over the carpet. I spent Sunday attempting to fit a cat flap into our kitchen door, so that we don’t have to leave the litter tray in the kitchen, and as long as the kittens lean over sideways whenever they use it, then it should work perfectly.
I do have a spirit level, but I’m scared of using it in case I get possessed or something. So it pretty much nearly lies straight, and the flap very nearly swings freely. All in all it looks exactly like it was fitted by me, rather than by, well, anyone else.
The only thing that separates how I’m feeling now, and how I felt in the week before my two boys arrived, is that I’m not having to listen to my wife moaning on about stomach cramps, insisting I rub her feet three times a day and demanding I fetch her chocolate every five minutes. Well actually the foot thing seems to still be the same, and the chocolate for that matter. Her stomach cramps have cleared up though.
Roll on Friday…

Oh they are so sweet! Have fun!
I have every confidence that you would be THE man to fit a cat flap
Have fun with those new babies. They train in a box super fast, usually. So wonderful are the little kitties!!
Say goodbye to your net curtains and furniture now.
We have four old fat lazy large sized versions of what you are getting so I speak from experience :-)
Enjoy...they grow up so fast.
Carla - very excited now :-)
Badger - I'm guessing you don't usually select the tradesmen in your gaff with confidence that bad - Cate usually take charge?
Kelley - they had better learn fast :-0
Glen - I know, rascals have no respect for fripperies
CW - I will

Spock the Cat here at my house settled in okay, its been over a year now and the bugger will pee in my daughter's room even when his liter box is fresh and clean.
Best of luck on the babies.
