Hell, when I last dated cell phones were huge bricks that only nerds showed off in public.
The closest thing that ever affected me was the setup of having a friend come and grab me because of an "sudden emergency" to recuse me from a bad date.
The funny thing was when my date and I did the same thing right at the time.
